バラカン：本を読んだ人が面白いと思ったら、「Amazon」や「Twitter」や「Facebook」に書き込みますよね。それが口コミになっていく。でも、それが「やらせ」だったら、あまり広まらない。あるとき、タワーレコードのバイヤーたちがお薦めのカードを手書きで作ったら、それがものすごく売り上げにつながることが分かったらしいんです。ただ、それをレコード会社が真似をして、宣伝マンがそのカードを手書きで作ってみたら、途端に効かなくなっちゃった。

バラカン：面白いでしょう。“本物”じゃないのは、分かるんです。インターネットでも、ファンが書き込んだかのように見せてマーケティング担当者が書いているような、ステルスマーケティングは、そのうち気付かれて、それこそ興ざめして逆効果になる。そういうことはやめた方がいいと思う。やるだけ損ですよ。
