Appleという会社が独善的にコントロールする「専制君主制」のiPhoneに対し、共和制とも言えるAndroidは当初はその組織的な動きの鈍さから遅れをとっているように見えます。 僕は最終的にはAndroidが勝利する可能性が高いと考えています。 ただしiPhoneも負けることはないでしょう。両者は共存し、ちょうどWindowsとMacOSのような関係になっていくのではないかと思います。 Androidの解放している自由に拡張可能な仕様は大きな魅力です。
端末の基本的なUIすらも端末メーカーやアプリメーカーが置き換えることができるうえに非常に高度なアプリケーション間の連携機能を搭載しているので、最終的にはいろいろなアプリが思いも寄らなかったような組み合わせで非常に高い効果を発揮するような「アプリケーションの組み合わせ」による活用が産まれて行くでしょう。
