日本に行った時、この本を買ったのだが、やはり本田宗一郎は賢い。彼は、消費者に何が欲しいか聞いてそこで一位になったものを作って販売する、という事に対して、死ねば良いのに、と述べている。「作る側はプロなのだから、そんなプロが何も知らない消費者に聞いてどうすんだ。」と。これは本当にそうである。消費者に聞く事で仕事を消費者にやらせている、というそんな事では無くて、消費者に聞かないといけない時点でもうその仕事辞めろよ。何故なら、「それをやるのがお前達である必要が無いから」である。
