「もっとも卑怯なフェイント」（一部のファンが良い意味で言っていることだが）こと「審判が笛を吹いた」フェイントの考案者として知られている。これは、相手選手とボールを奪い合っている真っ最中に、突如動きを止めて両手を広げ「おい、今のプレイのどこがファウルだって言うんだ！」と叫ぶというもの。相手選手は、審判がラモスのファウルを取ったと勘違いしてボールを奪う動作を中断するが、実際はオンプレイなのでその隙にラモスがボールを奪ってしまうのである。試合場はサポーターの歓声や鳴り物が響いているので相手選手が笛を聞き逃したと思ってしまう可能性は高く、面白いほど効果を挙げたそうだが、相手チームから「あのフェイントは止めろ」と言われ封印したという。
